House on Monyca Island, Skeleton Bay

Gathering at the heart of an island retreat.

An L-shaped layout places two bedroom wings around a central gathering space. Glass on three sides of the great room and generous windows throughout the house connect daily life to the Muskoka landscape.

The design incorporates an existing sleeping cabin, bringing the cottage to eight bedrooms. A games alcove and an outdoor sitting area beside a wood-burning fireplace create places to gather across the seasons.
